Number and Place Value

Uncategorized 1 Comment »

This week, in year 3, we have been looking at number and place value. We revisited how to partition 3 digit numbers, allowing us to add and subtract them easily.

Here is a link to the ‘Base10’ activity. Have a try and see if you can give the number which the ‘Base10’ is trying to represent.

A HUGE ‘thank you’ to Lucy who came in today to showcase the final product from all your hard work, and Lucy’s of course!

I know you really enjoyed taking part in this project, as well as learning about Age-Related Macular Degeneration and the work that is being done for it at the same time.

Below is the link that you can click on to watch the film again. Have a look at Lucy’s other projects too!

Remember to leave a comment below so Lucy and your teachers can see your thoughts. Mums and Dads are more than welcome to as well.

Thank you, and well done everyone.

Year 3 girls football team

Uncategorized 2 Comments »

Well done to Allanah, Iris, Sanjay, Neerit, Aneesah and Zohah on their first football tournament. They represented our school superbly against other year 3s from other Stretford schools.

We played 5 games, winning 1, drawing 2 and losing 2. Our stand out performance was the massive 4-0 victory over Victoria Park Juniors.

week.

We learned how to be ‘dog smart’.

Can anyone remember any of the sensible safety

rules for when we are around dogs?
